Check Your Space for Suspicious Signals & Camera Lenses
The Hommivo™ Hidden Camera Detector is a compact privacy inspection tool designed to help you check unfamiliar spaces for RF signals and hidden camera lens reflections.
Use it when checking into a hotel, Airbnb, vacation rental, office, vehicle, or other private space where you want an additional layer of privacy awareness. The device combines RF signal scanning with optical lens detection in a lightweight rechargeable design.
Two Detection Methods in One Compact Device
A hidden camera may be difficult to notice during a normal visual inspection. The Hommivo™ detector gives you two additional ways to inspect your surroundings: RF signal scanning and lens detection.
RF Signal Detection
The RF scanning function monitors radio-frequency activity across a listed range of 1 MHz to 6.5 GHz. This can help identify areas where wireless electronic devices are transmitting signals and indicate where a closer inspection may be appropriate.
RF detection is not camera-specific. Wi-Fi routers, Bluetooth devices, phones, wireless electronics, and other RF-emitting equipment can also produce signals. For that reason, use the RF scan as an inspection aid rather than treating every detected signal as proof of a hidden camera.
Hidden Camera Lens Detection
The optical detection function is designed to help reveal reflections from camera lenses that may be difficult to notice during a normal visual inspection. This can be especially useful when checking dark or low-light areas where a small lens might otherwise be easy to overlook.
Designed for Hotel, Airbnb & Travel Privacy Checks
You don't need to be a security professional to perform a basic privacy inspection. The compact Hommivo™ detector is designed to be carried with your travel gear and used when you want to check an unfamiliar environment.
-
Hotels: Perform a quick privacy inspection when entering a new room.
-
Airbnb & vacation rentals: Check areas where a hidden camera could potentially be concealed.
-
Offices: Inspect unfamiliar workspaces for suspicious RF activity.
-
Vehicles: Use RF scanning as an additional inspection method for suspicious electronic signals.
-
Home: Check areas where you have a specific reason to investigate an unknown device or signal.
-
Travel: Keep a lightweight privacy inspection device in your luggage.
Adjustable Sensitivity for Different Environments
The Hommivo™ Hidden Camera Detector features 5 adjustable sensitivity levels, allowing you to change the detection response depending on the environment you're inspecting.
Start with a lower sensitivity when there are many nearby electronic devices, then increase the sensitivity when performing a more focused inspection. This gives you more control than relying on a single fixed detection level.
Compact, Rechargeable & Easy to Carry
At approximately 30 grams, the Hommivo™ detector is small enough to keep in a travel bag, backpack, luggage compartment, desk drawer, or vehicle.
The built-in 3.7V 400mAh rechargeable battery provides up to 25 hours of listed working time, while the Type-C charging port makes recharging straightforward when needed.
How to Use the Hommivo™ Hidden Camera Detector
1. Start with a visual inspection
Before using the detector, look around the room for unusual objects, unexplained electronics, or items positioned where a camera could potentially have a view of a private area.
2. Scan for RF activity
Turn on the RF detection function and move slowly through the area. Pay attention to locations where the signal response increases. Remember that legitimate electronics can also generate RF signals.
3. Reduce sensitivity when necessary
If the environment contains many wireless devices, lower the sensitivity to make it easier to identify stronger or more localized signals.
4. Use lens detection
Use the optical lens-detection function to inspect suspicious objects, dark areas, and locations where a small camera lens could potentially be concealed.
5. Investigate suspicious findings
A detector alert should be treated as a reason to investigate further, not automatic proof that a hidden camera or listening device is present.
What the RF Detector Can — and Cannot — Tell You
The RF scanner detects radio-frequency activity within its specified frequency range. It does not identify the exact type of device producing every signal.
For example, a nearby Wi-Fi router, Bluetooth device, smartphone, or other wireless electronics can create RF activity. Use the detector together with visual inspection and lens detection for a more complete privacy check.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a hidden camera detector do?
A hidden camera detector can help identify suspicious RF activity and camera lens reflections that may be difficult to notice during a normal visual inspection.
Can the Hommivo™ detector find hidden cameras?
It is designed to help locate potential hidden cameras using RF signal scanning and lens detection. However, detection results should be investigated further because RF signals can come from ordinary wireless electronics and not every hidden camera transmits an RF signal.
Can it detect wireless devices?
The RF scanner detects radio-frequency activity within its listed 1 MHz–6.5 GHz range. Wireless electronics operating within or near this range may produce a detectable signal.
Can it detect a camera that is not transmitting?
RF scanning depends on a device emitting a detectable radio signal. A camera that is not transmitting may not produce an RF signal for the scanner to detect. The lens-detection function provides a separate optical inspection method.
Can I use it in a hotel or Airbnb?
Yes. Its compact design makes it suitable for travel and privacy inspections in hotels, Airbnb properties, vacation rentals, offices, and other unfamiliar spaces.
Will the RF detector react to my Wi-Fi router or phone?
It can. Wi-Fi routers, smartphones, Bluetooth devices, and other wireless electronics may produce RF signals. If you receive an alert, identify and account for known electronics before investigating other sources.
How long does the battery last?
The listed working time is up to 25 hours. Actual battery life can vary depending on operating conditions and how the device is used.
How do I charge the detector?
The detector uses a Type-C charging connection.
